Who Was Tesla’s Mother?

Who Was Tesla’s Mother?

Djuka descended from a distinguished family of priests and inventors.

One brother became the Archbishop of Sarajevo, and both her father and grandfather devised numerous farm and household tools. She herself developed a mechanical eggbeater, spun threads, created intricate designs, and fabricated most of the family’s clothing and home furnishings.

Djuka could neither read nor write, but she could recite from memory long passages from the Bible and epic Serbian poems. She was Nikola’s favorite, to whom he attributed his own inventiveness.
